In the first seven months of 2026, a remarkable total of 207,035 property rights have been registered in Azerbaijan. This significant achievement reflects the ongoing efforts to enhance the transparency and legality of real estate transactions in the country.
Breakdown of Registered Property Rights
Among the registered property rights, 39,556 (or 19%) were initial registrations, while a substantial 167,479 (or 81%) represented repeat registrations. The types of properties involved in these registrations varied widely, showcasing a diverse real estate market.
Types of Properties Registered
The statistics reveal that during this period, the registrations included 44,830 for individual houses and summer cottages, 52,822 for apartments, 101,351 for land plots, 1,918 for non-residential buildings, 5,684 for non-residential spaces, 366 for property complexes, and a modest 64 for multi-story residential buildings.
Geographical Distribution
Out of the total registered property rights, 60,360 were in the capital city, Baku, while the remaining registrations were distributed across various regions of the country. This indicates a concentrated activity in urban areas, which is typical in real estate trends.
Additional Real Estate Activities
In addition to property rights registrations, there were 145,778 technical passports issued for real estate objects and 36,779 mortgage agreements registered during the same period. These activities further contribute to the formalization of property ownership and the facilitation of real estate transactions.
